Probably doesn't like some rando on the Internet e-diagnosing the issue. But this is not uncommon to this truck. LC specialist would probably have started there.

More than likely as he's a ford/gm specialist but also swapped out my old civic engine in a day so he knows cars but these LCs are a bit unique to work on.

Is there any risk of a fire like he mentioned? Like man I'm not sure. I could definitely do it myself as well just have to get truck towed back home.

If you used as small enough gauge wire I suppose...? If it was mine I would get a piece of 12 gauge wire and try it. If that works then leave it until the kit from earlier arrives.

There are several people in that thread from earlier that have done exactly this.

That's the detailed post, the problem is the connection in the fuse box is bad, likely in production since we see it here so often.

The jumper wire is just a test to make sure the problem is with the voltage drop and the immobilizer issue. I believe there's a few other things to check for like the security light flashes when you put the key in or the check engine light doesn't come on for 3 seconds. I read it awhile back sorry. This is a reminder for me to buy that kit to have it stashed in my 100, thanks.
