Very few LX600s are having engine issues. They were handmade in Japan. This vehicle is very rare, and has better build quality than anything out there at any price point. I absolutely love this car, and IF the engine ever blows I am sure Lexus will take care of it. I added the extended warranty before there were any of these rumors. To me this is all FUD, and 99%+ of LX600 owners have had no issues to date.
PS if you can swing a $112k+ car, then you can fix whatever it needs outside the warranty period.![]()
That's because there are very few Lexus LX out there. The engine in the LX is not handmade, and it is subject to the same recall as the Tundra engine....there is something wrong in the design/manufacturing process of the engine. I don't doubt that Toyota will make the appropriate repairs, but there have been enough failures in the LX for Toyota to include it in the recall.
