Purchased an LX 570 few months back (after a decade with 2 Gwags) and have been considering some type of base plate. Looked at a Goose Gear plate but didn't really want to lose both 3rd row seats (still keeping one as daughter likes to occasionally sit back there) and also wanted it to look somewhat stock with carpet etc.
Decided to make one which took about 8 hours over 2 evening.

Nice work, thanks for sharing! I'll be running the exact same fridge and slide on the Goose Gear plate in my 5th Gen 4Runner. It's nice to see the same products mounted in a 200. I am curious if the Goose Gear plate works with a two row LX, if so I can pick up another slide and mount the same plate and slide in the back of our LX and just swap the SnoMaster between vehicles when needed.

The Goose Gear plates are model specific from what I can tell/see. So you'll need the LC200 version of their product. I have two National Luna fridges (52L & 60L) and based on how your SnoMaster looks, it's very similar in exterior design.

Oh yea I am aware of the model specific aspect, I was speaking in regards to the 200-series LC GG plate working in our two-row LX 570. They are the same vehicle but there are some differences in the outline/footprint in the cargo area between a standard model with third row jump seats removed and a 2018+ two-row factory model. And in regards to the NL and SM fridges, they are so similar to one another that I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they weren't made of the same parts from the same vendor.

I suspect the bolt mounts would be similar in the 2nd row and 3rd row version of the suv. Wouldn't make much sense for Toyota to change that much to the body structure vs simply hiding them with plastic molding for 2 row only versions.
Lift your 2nd row carpet up and compare it to the bolt structure in my pics.

Very nice work, I like your template design method. 🆒

Wasn't 100% accurate with the tracing but close enough that it fit without issues. To mark the bolt locations, I tied a string to a random spot and marked each bolt position with tape and did it for every location that needed to be drilled. Once the string had 7-8 tape markings, the plate went back on vehicle and marked the tape locations on the board directly.

This is great! Two questions, one, how did you pull up the carpet? May be SQOD :meh:

Next question, did you have to trim any of the plastic circled below or did those caps fit back on even after the board was added below?

Love this concept, I would like more tie down places in the rear, thinking about something like this + some t-slot rails.

Carpet removal basically just need to pull from any corner. You do need to remove both seats as the mounts do go between some of the cutouts on carpet.
The factory carpet has about 3/4-1" of foam and other padding materials underneath which I removed so replacement of that material with the plywood board doesn't change depth at all.
If you trim the wood board and leave a clearance gap, the caps will snap back in (if no tabs were broken in removal of the caps).
I'll probably go back and add some tie downs (same spot as factory).
