Could anyone give me some detail shots of the pieces that the tailgate latches hook on to on a lwb 45? ( or if anyone has a pair I'd be interested)

looks like a piece of 1/2 inch square bar with a kink in the end from what I can see, and that's probably how I'll make them, but I'd like to see a pic or two, or some dimensions.

cheers,
ryan

Give me a second to get one of mine off and will get some pics.

awesome , thanks man, look even easier to make than I'd thought !

are the holes countersunk as well or are they just elongated for adjustment?

cheers,

Elongiated for adjustment.

Each hole is 18mm long by 12 mm wide

The whole piece of metal is 97 mm long with the flat part taking 70 mm.

It is 22 mm wide, and 9 mm thick.

thanks man, but I did the seattle run on saturday , and as usual, it was the mad dash to catch a ferry type of trip so it probably wouldn't have worked out anyways.

look easy enough to make, I'm more concerned with them holding the gate shut than looking exactly right...

Hey Ken !

no worries , easy parts to make , it was the bedsides and tailgate I'd have had trouble with:D

what's the deal with the big hook into the top of the bed rail? is that where the chain stores when it's not hooked to the tailgate?

I have some work to finish off on the frame, and then I can start purtying up the bed.

cheers,
ryan
