I have a 1967 lwb with the amber/red lenses, I just noticed for the first time that the single filament turn signal light is lighting up for my brake light. At the same time the smaller light on the double filament bulb barly lights up.
Everything else works normally, turn signals and driving lights. Do I have something crossed over, bad ground?

I also wanted to know what year the all red tail light lenses were used?

Thanks

Probably a bad ground. Remove the light housing and clean everything up.

Experienced the same dim light issues with the old & cracked rear light harness. I run the all red lenses on my '66 lwb. I media-blasted the rear light housings with the fine grit red abrasive, even the internal springs, then clear coated the housings. Once I replaced the entire rear harness with new cross-linked poly wires, from the six-pin connector all the way to the rear driver-side lights, the brakes, signals and runners were nice and bright. Good luck with yours

Thanks for the response. I did clean everything up, but still have dim light. Probably a ground down the line.
One thing im still not sure of is, does the single filament turn signal bulb light up at the same time as the double filament when the brake lights are on?

Just guessing, but:

The amber should be a single filament that is the turn signal.
The red would be a double filament with the higher watt filament being the brake light and the lower being the running light.

Check for continuity between the housing and the valance, and then the frame.
