I am looking at getting this LV........... talked with the guy about the recent paint job. He had it done in the closet match he could to "spring green/ seafoam green" which was a factory color correct? However he painted the LV in the fashion of an FJ40; solid body color and white top....... not the typical two tone I see on LV's. When I questioned as to why he didn't use the factory two tone paint scheme he said he had talked to SOR and that they informed him that some LV's came a solid color from the factory, and thus he painted it in that manor. Is this a true factory paint scheme?? Or were all LV's two tone like the 55's.

Also he claims the LV comes with a factory radio, but LV's did not come with a radio option correct?

that root45 guy needs to update his site:rolleyes: :D

I cannot find a single example of a solid color 45 wagon with a white roof that isn't an artist's rendering. The four two tone colors offered were:

  • T-1028 Spring Green
  • T-332 Seminole Red
  • T-??? Band-aid aka Salmon
  • T-310 Capri Blue

A radio was never a factory option in the 45 wagons. Dealers had the option to add a radio in the other models so in theory they could have added the same to the LV.

This is probably what it would have looked like. I have no idea if this was added by the dealer in warrior_1515's lv. Based on the antenna, I would guess the PO added this one. These same radios and a similar CB were added as optional equipment to the early FJ40s. The ones I have seen were mounted in the same location.

thaks mike, I didn't think it was correct.......... not a big deal though. The important thing is the body is straight and all the rust has been repaired.

also it comes with what the seller "claims" is a factor winch....... I believe is a ramsey eletric winch, wasn't that another dealer accessory and not a factory option..

the '66 dealer reference says, "transistor radio with antenna (not installed)"

so....the owner could have put them anywhere

The winch, I don't know for sure, this is what I have for winch options

Factory/OEM power take-off and winch
Power take-off with shaft assembly (no winch)
Ramsey winch assembly (complete with cable)
Ramsey power take-off with shaft assembly (no winch)
Ramsey P.T.O. only

Here is a pic of the ellusive radio he is talking about. This is from the pics of his rig before the resto. Even if it was OE, I don't think I could run it :D that thing is ugly IMO
