Luxury 60?

I am talking about the extra comfort for you and your passenger provided by the armrest on the Tuffy. And, there is also the luxury of cupholders. And greater secure storage too. I think that it would not interfere with most seat installations unless you put some really jumbos in.
Actually, the passenger gets the best armrest because you need to cheat the Tuffy a little that way to allow room for the emergency brake handle.
Yes, its expensive but you can have it installed in less than an hour, probably much quicker. I left the OEM brackets, made a template for the bolt holes out of cardboard, drilled the holes and bolted it down...done!

Got a picture of that Tuffy install? Been considering it as a replacement for my stock console, but wondering about the look, the armrest height, etc. Local 4x4 dealer carrys them, but didn't have a 12 in stock so I could eyeball it.

edit: found a thread with a GREAT picture of an installed tuffy. Now I just need to convince myself I don't need leather seats as well.

jgreen is that factory?
Was not aware toyota did that for u.s. 60's
Got any pics?

It was factory for 83 anyway. I have it too, but it does not work, so don't be jealous. Check your owners manual for instructions on how to use it.

I'd be willing to bet that this was actually a dealer add-on to make the vehicles more appealing to North Americans.

I might actually be interested in your cruise control if you don't want it.

*IIRC those cruise controls were available as dealer upgrade, thus the metal washer, versus the hole and grommet, just like he one we had on our '85, the dealer installed it. Since you're in Santa Rosa, try checking w/ Larry Kitahara (YodaMan) and see what he can help with. Basically the thing t'd off of a vacuum line. You might be able to find them in a gm recycling yard or other place, they were pretty common then for dealers to install.

As for seats, and luxury, there's always SOR for parts, and if money's not an issue, custom covered upholstery and interior. (Mike's or Gray's are the shops IIRC, no experience w/ them though.)

yeah unfortunately money is an issues to a point im not gunna half @$$ something cause i know it'll cost me more later. i might ned up havin to order some of the split 2nd bench seats from sor if i can't find a better option.

I'm terribly surprised that nobody's mentioned the SILKY LUXURY of the Iron Pig Seats. I feel like a king every time I rest my ischials. Planning on adding some heated pads (should be an easy fix) for the upcoming winter.

Thanks for the pics man.
Never seen that on either of the two 60's I have owned
Very

dirty im planning the same thing regardless of what seats i end up with. the option of a heated tucus on those cold wheeling/hunting days:)
