Has anyone ever attempted this? I had a 2003 LS430 and the seats in those cars are to die for! There is so much support and they are huge. I'm wondering if a swap like this would be easy, both bolting the seats in plus wiring. All help is appreciated! Thanks.

Interesting idea. I wonder if they would fit in the LX. I got an 04 LS and the seats are definitely larger than the ones in the LX.

Interested in this as well. Do it!

A seat swap is not easy. I swapped s2k seats into my 100 (manual seats at that) and I had to custom make brackets. I utilized the bottom portion of the stock backet and welded plates on top to mount my seats. Not the sexiest install but they work great. A TON of work but I love them. Absolutely manual, no heat seats. So didn't even mess with wiring.

To echo the above NO, not going to be easy.

So if you are willing to give up height adjustment, Planted makes a bracket for driver and passenger on the 100 series. I don't know if you could modify it to fit the LS430 seats though. I went with Recaro seats and for the most part I love them. They sit lower than the normal seats which I love, but I do sometimes miss the ability to adjust the height and rake of the seat.

The stock seats in my 100 were really really terrible for me. All I knew is that they had to go.

What do you find bad about the 100 seats?

My truck came to me with 255k miles. There was a lot of usage on the seats. The lumbar was inadequate, the foam for my lower back needed replacing and the seat bottom was shorter than I wanted it to be. I also felt like at the lowest possible setting, I still sat higher in the vehicle than I wanted to. Not any more. I love the Recaros. I would do them again. Especially because I wheel my truck and I really like the bolstering that provides lateral support.

I did an S2K swap in and I agree on the bolstering. Much more comfortable than the worn out stock seats.

you have a link to the recaro seats you're using?

I bought them off of Craigslist. They were new, but the person selling them didn't like them. They are the Recaro Expert M in Grey Nardo cloth. I paid about $1600 for two including sliders.

Also, leather in cars sucks. I have forgotten to mention how much more I love the cloth seats. They don't get hot in the summer or cold in the winter. I don't have seat heaters any longer, but I don't want them because the don't get super cold like my old leather seats did.

I don't care about seat heaters, but I REALLY enjoy the seat coolers.
