Haha yeah idk if it's even worth exploring. I'll sharpen up my soldering iron and open it up when I get it back from the paint shop.

I may quickly realize there's no way. But eh I'll explore the idea.

Look forward to finding out if you can do it

Alright so I think I'm going to be able to do it. I think I can convert the stock cruise control switch wiring to do what the LS/4l80 needs (momentary 12v inputs for resume/accel, set/coast, and cancel).

I took apart the cruise control switch, cut out the resistors, and figured out what pins to connect to what to get me the momentary 12v. All I have left to do is solder on some wires, connect some relays, and then connect it to the 4l80 system. It's still quite a bit to do, but I'm pretty sure it'll work.

Here's a video showing what I'm thinking...

Let me know your thoughts, please. I'm 100% just making this up as I go with no prior knowledge at all of how to do this. So, any input is welcome.

I don't know what the op is trying to do. Afaik from memory the dbw Cruise control is pretty simple wiring. I could be remembering wrong. The factory switch should work fine. The only issue is the on off for the cruise is momentary on the toyota switch which won't work. So you have to work around that of which their are several easy ways to do so
The factory switch only has two wires coming out of it (besides ground). One for the main on/off as you mentioned, and one that sends different resistances to ground (as I understand it) into the cruise control module for resume/accel, set/coast, and cancel. That won't work with the LS swap stuff...
