Hi all, I searched and found nothing on lower radiator hose heaters. Was wondering if anyone has used them with good results. I know the block heater is the better choice but don't want the headache of the install.
Thanks

Had three, three ruined.
Best is a tank type from Kats or Zerostart.

Remove PHH and metal tube and replace with 5/8 heater hose. Supplied "Y" in this section
Kit comes with5/8 block drain fitting you access from ds fender skirt and a long extension.
Kit comes with a "Y" fitting.
Heater is thermostatically controlled and needs to be mounted lower than the drain block fitting for best results.

Unit will often defrost your windscreen if you follow directions
Purchase the extended cord if possible or use an extension to suit.
You will love having heat when you start up.
Use a timer if warmer, let her run all night when it is really cold.

Just completed this today on the 97 Sc'd.
Way easier on a JDM diesel as you do not have to muck with the PHH, and way more room to mount.
Used a long section of hose to get over to the brake booster and then down, this keeps your 5/8 heater hose away from that Hot egr pipe.

Yes there was some cursing but looking forward to some nasty weather so I can truly enjoy this mod.
