Getting ready to order some more steel DOM tubing to sleeve 80 series lower control arms.

One 20' stick should do 4 sets full length. @Robkc @milemarker60 @FZJ80 in KC did theirs on the first round and can talk to the abuse it can take.

Anyone want some metal this round? Should be about $75 for the two pieces of metal to do both of your LCA's.

You can additionally put in 1" round stock solid for additional crazy strength.

Yep, I bent two sets before these, and last year at SMORR we tested them on the same ledge where I bent the first pair...good to go.

Anyone that knows me knows that says a lot to their strength...

Mitch bent both of his early on and has beat on the new ones we made (solid core) with the DOM and they are stout. Definitely an easy and necessary upgrade in my book.

Got the metal in, so I will get it cut to rough size and post up when it is ready to go. I don't have much 1" stock, so you might have to pick that up yourself.

Ready to go. I have enough 1 inch stainless solid for the Center for two of them $25 additional. You could certainly go with standard metal, not stainless. My understanding is the stainless is about twice as strong, however I am not an engineer.

Sammy grabbed one of the inner.

Sleeving exsiting arms nets you ~3/8" thick walls:eek:
, However, adding 1" inner stainless solid 316 barstock gives you a backache trying to lift it to install.

I had to use a fork lift and block and tackle when we did Mitch's. Have to say they didn't distort this past year...like Mitch's driveshaft did. Worth the weight without question.

@1MAC and @rockstate45 I can load in the car and take to my work (95th metcalf area). I think that is closer to both of you.

Kelly, that sounds great. I'm flexible on the "when" beginning now. Just need to plan ahead on the "going to the ATM"

What works best for you? Could be as soon as tomorrow...

Working from home tomorrow. Your welcome to come by.

Will be back at the office next week.
