I'm just saying this to temper your expectations, but nobody on this forum is going to pay you $65k for that cruiser. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice 62 and all, but you'd be lucky to get half of that for it.

You may want to try posting it on Bring a Trailer for a chance at getting more than what it's really worth..

I appreciate the comment. I am not an auto trader / collector. My sibling has requested me to start at that price after speaking with the mechanic. We may end up working with BaT but thought I'd start here and get convo going. I saw most on here are in the $30K ballpark.

Read up on the market value. You are out of touch for sure.

If someone is optimistic enough to actually give you 27k for that rig I would jump on it if I were you or this mysterious sibling. Otherwise be prepared to hold on to it for a long time. Or list it on BaT as others suggest. There the vehicle knowledge and rational thought are low, the overly optimistic echo chamber is loud, and as we have all seen on the right day the pockets are stupid deep.

Sounds like my Reddit Pennystocks sub. Thanks for the advice.

Current market for this would be $23k - $25k. At $55k, I could source an excellent cruiser, fully restore the interior, do an LS engine swap, and still have money left over for a nice dinner. She's a nice example (I have her twin minus the tent) but if your sibling is looking for $55k, it's a dream that's not happening. Even with the premium you might get on BAT, the fees will put less than $25k in your pocket.

Thank you for the thorough response and candidness. I have several opinions here and am passing on the info.
