Hello,

In replacing a friend's starter (2006) today, we found many damaged electrical connectors from a previous life - most missing retaining clips. One completely disintegrated, and I'm hoping to replace it prior to reassembly. Anyone have tips on where to find replacement connectors?

The highest priority one I'm looking for goes onto a component of the "air pump assembly w/ bracket," on 2006+ engines w/ VVTi. It's a 2-wire connector located under the intake plenum. See photos.

I could use several other connectors although none are as dire as the above. I've ordered a 82711-1E320 for the starter although others don't seem as easy to buy from Toyota. Thoughts?

I found these two outfits:
The few threads I've found have outdated info.

As an aside that many of you can relate to, I open the box for the new reman Denso starter and found it damaged in shipping. Dang. I decide to poke around under the truck and find the water pump leaking and radiator low. New starter and timing belt kit/goodies in the mail. Needless to say, my friend won't be using his Cruiser this weekend as planned...

Any tips on getting the above connector (and a source for others) will be appreciated.

Thank you, Erin

Is this the one? I can't tell for sure. The color is often different so don't go by that.

Edit: Maybe this one (90980–11149)

Here's the reference I use most.

I have had great luck and service from cycle terminal.com. He also carries high quality tape, shrink tubing and wire loom.

Thank you @scooterp7 and @Qtonic! I will dig into cycle terminal and the PDF. MUCH appreciated!

I forgot I had an OEM wiring diagram book in storage (bought used on eBay). It turns out the p/n's are listed for connectors. GREAT news! I'll see how quickly my dealer can get some to me. I'll also check cycle terminal.com and others.

This is great news as we found several damaged connectors. I'm hopeful we can get them back to spec.

That main one looks like the connectors for vacuum switching valves. Most Toyota’s have them. Camrys are right under the top plastic engine cover. They are the same size but the blades make them slightly different. You could match up the connector from a junk yard if need be.

This was going to be my suggestion. OEM if you can. That EWD book is the bible for info so that's the first place to check.

Cycle terminal, eastern beaver, Tweakdperformance are all shops I've used in the past for oddball stuff Toyota doesn't carry any longer.

Good luck!
