Does anyone have (a good) experience with putting LED headights (or 7") in a LC 100 (1999). There seems to be a lot of questionalble solutions out there. I looking for one that works, is easy to install and not $1000.

Do you mean LED?

Maybe you've already seen but @kelly saad has a product that will allow you to install round lights on your truck as low beams. Beyond that, you'll get a nice boost from LED bulbs in your original housings, though that's not the best move for light placement in my experience.

You could also look in to an HID retrofit, I believe a full kit is around $500 ish. I love mine with new projectors.

Ah! Thanks, I corrected the title. I will check out the HID retrofit. I am looking for Projector lights.

Shameless plug but if you do end up going with a retrofit and use Morimoto ballasts, I sell a simple bracket kit on the website to securely mount them in your truck to avoid them flopping around. Link in my signature line. 🙂

I was between doing a retro fit and the LCG round headlight conversion and decided to go with the round headlight which ultimately came down to personal preference/liking the look and not wanting to go through the headache of cracking my headlights open to do the project retrofit
I'm very happy and really like that I now have a whole world of lighting options available to me (though I am still troubleshooting the highbeam/lowbeam fiasco thanks to the Toyota switched negative deal).

@kelly saad is the one who makes them and it is a good quality product. I went with the headlights and grille kit.
