Looking for ideas …

I know this is trivial for most of you.. but looking for ideas to hide this nasty scratch on rear quarter panel of driver side …is it decal, emblem etc. or, just live with it as a battle scar? I made several attempts to blend the touch up paint but gave up now as it keeps increasing in size. I think an auto body shop will quote to repaint the entire panel which I don’t want. Not sure if there is anybody out there that just fix and blend scratches.

Background - snow plow truck driver in Jan sideswiped heavy mix of snow and ice toward the truck which caused a dent and a very small chip (to bare metal). I got the dent removed by PDR and touched up the paint myself which because of my OCD has grown to a size of quarter now. I thought could follow the chrisfix YouTuber steps on scratch removal but clearly failed. Well, the pics speak for itself.

Personally I'd just live with it, the dent would have bothered me a lot more than any paint defect. I fear your only recourse aside from compounding and working it back up to possibly decrease it some would be to have the fender repainted. Aside from the cost the other issue with that is that they will likely want to blend the plastic bumper corner as well to match, I say eff that and ride on.

You really did a mess of a job there. That is a very bad repair.
Someone with a little bit of skill and an airbrush could make a much better repair. I know I can and I'm not good with painting.
My advise is go find a dent repair shop, many are coming to your house, and have them redo the job. It will still be visible, not like full panel refinish, but a lot cheaper and better than what you have now.

Thanks. I did that mess with touch up paint brush. Need to look into airbrush.
