Thinking of building a dual purpose trailer for hauling a motorcycle and camping. Wanting an enclosed trailer large enough to carry a motorcycle and some gear and equip the trailer with a roof top tent large enough for 4. Anyone done something like this, and if so, would you mind posting a picture or 2? Any advice on building one?

Thanks!

are you trying to put the bike in the trailer (height/clearance issues) or could you put it sideways across the front?

Inside. Realize this will require a little taller trailer. But, would limit it to a 5 ft opening and just hunch over when pulling it in.

Actually, trying to accomplish two objectives with this. 1 - I want a trailer with a RTT that I can outfit for camping with plenty of interior storage. Won't be pulling it on any difficult trails but parking at a semi primitive or non primitive (ie KOA) camp site, unhitching, and driving trails without the trailer and hiking. 2 - an enclosed trailer to haul my Harley Davidson someplace a little nicer to ride other than the middle of nowhere in South Texas with a bunch of crazy oil field truck drivers.

Pretty y'all order but really only want to buy 1 trailer. May not matter, thinking I just selling the Harley since I haven't had it out in over a year. Just too dangerous to ride around here now with the oil boom.

But, still curious if anyone has done something like this just in case I keep it.

I've just picked up an Australian trailer called a Podtrailer that could fit the bill for an RTT, this is a work trailer so no RTT for me!
