Like the post says I'm looking for a NMO mount for a CB but everything that I've found here always talks about NMO mounts for HAM radios.
Currently I have a Gamiviti mount with a 4' non-ground plane Firestik II antenna with spring. I see a lot of play in the antenna when driving down the interstate and I didn't know if someone had a similar setup and the wobble was normal. I wanted the 4' antenna to clear the top of my 100 series cruiser but I'm not sure the Gamiviti mount was designed for something that large or heavy.
Is there a NMO mount that will work with the Gamiviti mount but use a thinner diameter Wilson or other antenna that wouldn't seem like it weighs too much for the mount and wouldn't shake so much? I also like the option of taking the antenna off and using a weather cap until the antenna is needed.
I have a second Gamiviti mount that I will use in the future for a HAM radio but I haven't taken the tests for that yet so I don't plan on setting the vehicle up for that until I'm qualified.

When I was using CB, I ran a 4' Firestik with a spring as well. I found that there's no reason to have the spring. The fiberglass antenna is extremely forgiving when running into trees and underbrush, and without the spring it doesn't flop around on the road.
I also found I got a lower SWR without the spring.

AFAIK, NMO mounts are for ham antennae only.

I'm not familiar with the Gamiviti mounts but I'm assuming it's the thing that mounts near the hood. Run a regular NMO mount to that bracket and mount a Larsen 27 whip. I've never been a fan of the looks or performance of a fiberglass antenna. NMO is so much nicer as are antenna options. There aren't a bunch of NMO CB antennas and the Larsen is hard to beat.

I run a generic CB (I'm a HAM guy and the CB doesn't get used a lot) whip with an adapter to an NMO on the roof.

I also have an NMO cb antenna. It did take some looking to find one. In theory since CB is 11 Meter you could possibly tune a 10 Meter NMO ham antenna to work. No doubt would be better to just find a cb band NMO antenna.
I keep it in the cab and a 2M antenna on the roof, but the idea is to be able to swap the coax to the cb and swap out the antennas. Both combos have had their SWR's checked and set.

I ordered the Browning WSPBR1015 mount and the Larson 27C Antenna, should be in Monday or Tuesday of next week. Thanks for all the help

I'd either just get a heavier spring or take it off all together.
The NMO style mount itself won't help but you could use a bottom loaded antenna such as a Larson NMO-27C on it. Those are real lightweight. If is mounted below the roofline like it sounds performance may suffer a bit from the bottom loading, they're meant to be roof mounted so in that case a top loaded fiberglass will probably give you the most bang for your buck.
