Before I order one online does anyone know a local place in Los Angeles that sells a 54mm Socket? I was planning on trying to do my driver side wheel bearings this weekend but overlooked a critical tool needed to complete the job . Any help would be appreciated I am near Venice/Marina Del Rey.

Thanks,

ebay look for a 2-1/8 socket. They cab be found for under $13 shipped. Don't forget a 3/4" to 1/2" adapter since most are 3/4" drive

This question has been asked no less than two dozen times on this forum. Does it really not come up on search? I'm serious when I ask, because some search criteria don't work and 54mm might not.

Carquest has them, often right on the shelf. They are called hub nut sockets and you want the one for "toyotas" OTC 6612 is the part number. Amazon can have one at your house tomorrow for $30.15.

They also make them in 39mm size for the axle nut on the IFS trucks. If a store orders one for you don't let them order the wrong one.

It is very tough to torque the nut properly with a flat head screwdriver.
