Pretty sure all LXs have power folding mirrors from the get go in 2008. LC owners can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the LC got this in 2016+ models. IIRC, even if the LC has power mirrors, it does not auto-fold on lock like the LX does?
My 2010 LX has power folding, and auto-fold on lock- pretty sure it's standard equipment for the LX.

2009 lx has auto mirrors and power mirrors.

My 35s run 10% fast. So 59 on Speedo is 65. 63 is 70. 68 is 75.
If I’m going to be in cruise and worried about radar or laser I use a free gps phone app to set my speed digitally.
Cruise set point is saved until cruise turned off at the stalk or the car is turned off. All of Oregon is 65, for example. Pretty easy to do.

How is maintenance on these trucks. I got that they are very reliable but maintenance is still needed.

I've always done all maintenance, repairs and restoration on all my cars (after they got out of warranty) and the longest one I owned is turning 25 this November. So you can say I know my way around my cars but ... I never owned a truck and neither a V8. I read this bit "At around 120k it requires some pricey services" - what's this about.

I believe all 2016+ LC's have auto-folding mirrors upon locking the vehicle. I know mine does.

The LX is a great value and it has a quieter cabin and nicer leather than the LC but the LC wins in the looks department and certainly has a larger aftermarket available to it.
2016+ LC have semi-aniline leather just like Lexus LX.

Thanks and I stand corrected on the auto-folding function. There was a thread where an LC owner was trying to figure out how to get their power mirrors to auto-fold on lock. Was unclear what year that was or if I didn't understand correctly.

Aside from fluid changes and normal wear items, the two items of concern around 100k are the starter and radiator. Both have been redesigned in later model years, not to say newer are bulletproof, only there isn't the data.

Starter can/will fail out of nowhere. Radiator will show signs of cracking around a raised plastic lip.

Those are the two big ones to look out for or be proactive on.

I've owned both and the LC leather isn't holding up as well as the LX did and in a shorter amount of time too. Maybe the color has something to do with it, the LX was black and the LC is Terra, but it's definitely wearing more quickly and it doesn't feel the same either.

yeah i don’t know. But both later models LX and LC use same kind of leather…semi-aniline. Maybe the older LX that you had was using a different leather? Semi-aniline leather do crease easily but lasts a long time.

I'm looking at 2013. So it looks like folding mirrors were an option? How hard it to retrofit this to a 2013?

You shouldn't need to retrofit anything on the LX it should be standard, if you have pics of the interior it should be obvious looking at the switch on the dash whether it was equiped or not (which it should be).

Edit: this is what the button looks like and would be to the left of the steering wheel.

I went through this same thing in Feb/March, - What I had to fix/change immediately after buying mine.

All this has been mentioned before and I used most of the information in this forum when I bought mine.
You can also google most of this stuff and watch videos or read about what to look for. Which helped me tremendously.

I took the LX, removed all the skids and engine plastic and drove to an independent dealer and had them do a "pre-purchase" inspection before I bought it.
It checked out fine and the mechanic actually missed a few things I listed below and they made up a few things too, but that is not what this is about. : )

-Check the engine for "oil seep". Remove skids - Usually on the drivers side, if you see it, you will know... If the seep is bad or the skids are covered in oil, walk away...
-The Radiator will need to be changed if it is OEM. It WILL have leaks at the top as already mentioned. ($400-$500 -can be done in your driveway with a buddy)
-The brakes are probably worn and maybe the rotors too. (full brake job in the driveway can be done)
-Check the headlight washers work and are not leaking or broken. (they only pop up when the heads lights are "ON" ...not the auto setting.) (Expensive repair)
-Check the head lights, all the bulbs - fog, low and high. Those things cab be expensive to replace if you go with the high end bulbs.
-Key Fob Batteries... mine were dead. If you have the credit card key fob... that's a plus. Those are cool.
-Check all 12v power outlets and USB connection - My fuses were blown and the previous owner I don't think knew they were blown. (fuse #26 under dash)
-Check the spare tire and the TPMS (look on the dash as you flip through the different vehicle displays)
-Check ALL the 4wd functions - on Grass of course... Listen and feel the vehicle when doing this. IF you think something does not feel or sound normal, ask on here.
-Check the AHC and play with it, go up and down, up and down... (doors have to be closed)
-IF you purchase, go ahead and get a new gas cap... LOL
-Check the battery - might be time for a new one - Mine died a week after I purchased.
-Wiper blades, if they have the OEM wipers installed, you can buy just the OEM strips, which will save a lot of money.
-Last Oil change?
-Transmission flush?
-Connect an OBD2/link/scanner and check for codes or any cleared codes. (you can get them on Amazon and they work well)

Mention this stuff to the seller and start making offers deducting the costs of replacing the radiator, brakes, etc etc... You know the drill. : )

Good luck, let us know what happens.

I don’t believe this. I’ve sat in a 2016 lc and the leather wasn’t near as plush and soft. Also, the bolsters were different.

I really like the 2016 ++ lc. It’s the best looking of all the 200’s. That said, the 2013-2015 lx is a close second. I think op will like a LX.

Another advantage of owning an LX is the dealer experience. IF you have to take your truck to the dealer Lexus will give you a loaner. Having dealt with both Toyota and Lexus the Lexus seem more professional and less "scammy"

This is true. BUT, weirdly, so far, the dealer that i bought my LC from has treated me quite well. Still a little scammy when it comes to service “options” but they let me choose loaner car (when i had fuel pump recall)…i had choice of Rav4, Camry, or Tundra. Other peasants had only Corolla or Camry as choices. Sadly, i picked Camry because i was being a wus about driving a big truck. The service person texted me from his cell phone to keep me updated on services. And they “claim” to have their most experienced technician work on my car…and so far, i have nothing but rave reviews…the workmanship is quite good. They recently replaced my whole entertainment center stack…no scratches on the panels, no rattles, etc..

Now, at another Toyota dealership that service my Sienna minivan…well, they are no good and scammy as hell. So, not sure if they are treating me different because of LC or because they are pretty good dealership.

My LC dealer is different from my Sienna because the LC dealer offers me lifetime oil changes/tire rotation and lifetime powertrain warranty. Service charges outside those have been reasonable…and workmanship has been good as noted above.
