Looking at a 100, what do you think of the rust underneath in the pics?

Looking for a 100.
I had them climb under and snap pics.
What do you think of the rust?
And what's up with the zip ties?

Thanks

zipties are helping to hold up the stock skid plate. hard to tell about the rust.

Correct. That is the plastic skid plate that apparently has broken ears where bolts were holding it. Ask me how I know.

Does the broken ears mean it was off-roadded hard?
Or something messed up when bolting it back on?
Where's the best spot to ask for rust pics?

I'm an 80 guy, so Im not sure the right spot.

Does the broken ears mean it was off-roadded hard?

No...because mine hasn't been offroaded at all....unless my wife or daughter has a secret I should know about.

doesn't mean it was wheeled hard at all. it's pretty flimsy material. at first glance it looks like that uhmw stuff, but it's far from it. Your rust spots on the 80 are similar to wherever we'd have rust i'd imagine.

EDIT.... by the right front sway bar bracket above the mount of the t-bar. the ac line drips there

Doesn't look like S CA car rust. Either drove on beach too much or import into CA.

I added more light in photoshop, and it's excessive rust for a 100
I had a rusty frame 60, and I hated those bolts on the bottom I had to saw off/tap out
And getting the rust flakes in your face everytime you crawled underneath
So I gotta find a rust free here in Cali
But it's hard, they go quick
