Damn that looks nice!

Kinda jealous....

You and me both..

Don't get me wrong this thing is not perfect in anyway, but has the potential to be. There are some minor things that it needs, this brings up a good question where to get replacement parts besides SOR.

Nice find. 4 speed?

I want a pic of the engine bay. The 1974s typically had a 4 speed and a transitional form of the 2F. Nothing wrong with a good running F. I maybe wrong but the 4speed with the early t-case gave the better crawl and I think that was only in 74-75'ish.

Keep an eye on the brakes if all drums.

If your folks ever want to paste in a stock fuel door in the back it looks way better than the aftermarket- you just have to get a donor bucket and door- I hoped to do this on my 40 someday before I die.

Kief next time I'm up I will get a pic of the engine bay. This is a April of 74 fj40. It has the four speed on the floor. What fuel door are you talking about the extended fuel tank door.

I want to someday finish the 40 that I have, but until I get my Honey-do list done that won't be very soon. Plus I don't got skillz's like you gnob. So i will be very slow, and probally have some work done by others.

yes, extra tank door. I'm just not a fan of the cut in and pop riveted on jobbers..

doesn't look bad, just thought I'd give your folks something to do seeing as that thing looks ready to run..

Bezel's upside down. ;p

hahaha funny guy, that was the first thing I looked at when they brought it home.

Well I now know how is feels like to be a pick-and-pull. Parents came buys this weekend and robbed me blind for 40 parts. A lift strutt here, window regulator here, and some other misc parts. They still want more but did not what to hang around for me to go threw all my boxes so they just left a list. What did I start??
