Longfield Question?

I am in the middle of a bunch of upgrades, one being Longfields. The outter end of the inner shaft has a groove with what looks like a wire snap ring. Excuse me but my terminology is probably not all correct. Do I just slide this into the birfield with the snap ring in place and let the snap ring engage itself?

Yes that is what you do. Make sure the ring starts properly and does not bind up when you install the inner axle shaft into the outer axle stub...
