Hey Y'all. Just wanted introduce myself. Been lurking since 2020 after I bought my 98 LC and wish I knew about this site before I bought it lol. What I bought to be a weekend beater turned into a mechanical restoration project as some items were severely neglected by the PO, but this website was/is extremely helpful in getting everything in proper working order with OEM parts of course. Spent many nights reading countless threads while listening to WW2 documentaries on my Ipad, which is probably my favorite way to fall asleep.
Through this website I have gained a ton of knowledge about my vehicle, found a great local mechanic who has become a friend, as well as attended Land Cruiser Roundup at Katemcy Rocks the past couple of years, and have more off roading trips planned.
My avatar picture is FM 170 between Big Bend State Park and Terlingua from a trip right at the beginning of 2025. Planned that trip based on some threads from Texas Mud members. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who makes this forum best forum on the internet.
