This is one of ONSC's biggest events of the year, and best of all it's for charity honoring Logan Monk, an ONSC member who was instrumental in the growth of this club, as his parents continue to be. In the past 5 years of this event, we've been able to donate over $6,800 to charity. Your support will allow us to continue in this amazing tradition.

*****Updated Location info*****

Directions:

From HWY 109 you will turn onto Mullinex road just as if you were going to group camp. You will go approx 0.5 miles and make a left up a gravel entrance (we'll have a sign out). Shadowlands sits on 51 acres, some wooded and some wide open. There is a covered pavilion on location that has bathrooms and showers. Otherwise, there is a similar primitive camp type feel that we had at group camp. As you pull in to the right of the pavilion you will find the wooded section prime for tent camping. Trailers, campers and RV's have full access to the fields. On the map you will see a red circle. There is a small camping section just inside the treeline here that can be used as well. It's idea for a small group that might prefer a little more "out of the way" type spot. This is insanely close to the outpost so those of you that make the breakfast run to the Outpost just got a shorter commute.

River Rd is still closed near 109. This only matters to the people who come in on 24/27. Mostly talking to the CLT folks here. If you usually get to Eldorado Outpost without passing the Barn then don't worry about it. If you DO usually pass the Barn then you'll need to go 24/27 to Troy, Turn onto 109 at Bojangles/Better Burger, and continue on to URE. The option for CLT people is to take one of the connector roads from 24/27 to 49 (601 does it) and hit 109 from the north, eliminating River Rd and Troy altogether. Many of you know that it's actually a slightly shorter trip to URE that way, as opposed to going to the Barn first.

Quick Announcement:

This year we will again have designated trail leaders and departure times for 6 different wheeling groups. This will be done in an effort to make the wheeling portion of this event more organized.

On Saturday, there will be 6 groups, two of each difficulty level, easy, medium and hard. Friday will be the same but with one group of each level (meaning one departure time). Each group will have one trail leader and the specific trails that each group rides will be ultimately decided upon by the trail leader for that group. Groups will be staged along the gravel drive with the trail leader in the very front. Departure times for each group are as follows, and are flexible at the discretion of the trail leader so far as they do not interfere with another group.

Friday:
Ad-Hoc Wheeling

Saturday:
9:00am - Easy1, Medium1 and Difficult1 depart
9:30am - Easy2, Medium2 and Difficult2 depart

Sunday:
Ad-Hoc Wheeling

Therefore, I'm looking for volunteers to be trail leaders! Please post up if you'd like to be a trail leader and which group you'd like to lead!!

Saturday Trail Leaders:
Easy1 -
Medium1 -
Difficult1 -
Easy2 -
Medium2 -
Difficult2 - @4LowandSlow

***Important announcement regarding parking***
As those of you who attended prior ONSC events at group camp know, the center grass area at Group Camp has been closed. As such, we are going to be enforcing restrictions on parking.

1. Absolutely NO vehicles are to be in the center grass area at ANY TIME.
2. Tow rigs, car hauler trailers and campers/RVs are to park in the open grass area at Site B ONLY.
3. If there is no more room at Site B for your camper/RV, tow rig or car hauler trailer, you will need to park it somewhere outside of group camp, such as the Eldorado Outpost.

If you have a camping trailer such as a M416, M101 or teardrop you can park wherever you find a spot. If you are unsure please ask a staff member or volunteer at the registration tent.

Everyone, please do not be greedy with the space you take to set up your campsite. We're going to have a lot of people as always.

VEHICLE INSPECTION:

ONSC Vehicle Inspection Requirements

Page 1 is "Minimum Vehicle Requirements". Everything on page 1 is required to be in compliance or else you will not be allowed to wheel at this event.

Page 2 is "Evaluated Items". This section is at the discretion of the inspector. For example, if everything on Page 1 and 2 are good except you have an egregious fluid leak, you will fail the inspection and not be allowed to wheel at this event. Alternately, if everything on page 1 and 2 is good except you don't have a radio or a winch, you will pass.

It is REQUIRED to have everything on Page 1 and it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to have everything on Page 2. These rules exist not only to ensure the safety of our drivers, but also ensure that we Tread Lightly.

Can't wait! Don't know if we are creating another thread for volunteers but i can do vehicle inspects, also i can lead difficult 2

So does this mean you’ll be going up Daniel?

Backside at most. Not allowed to do the front . Just gonna do Dickey bell or Dutch John depending on weather.

Time for the big push to get Moonshine running again! Assuming I do, I can lead a difficult run on Saturday.

VERY sad to say we're out. Playing WVU at home that weekend.

It's pretty much like this: drive, bash, break, fix, repeat.

Hoping for less of the "break" part now that I'm rid of the D300

It's pretty much like this for johnny: drive, bash, front dig, break, forgets its broken, waits till last minute to fix, repeat.

You forgot a part, but i fixed it,

It's pretty much like this for Johnny: drive, bash, front dig, break, forgets it’s broken, work on everybody else’s junk to get their trucks ready, wait till last minute to fix, repeat.

You left another part out, so I fixed it. ;)
