I'm doing some learning up about aussie lockers. Anyone have any links to helpful pages about why the aussie locker is "the best" so i'm told, any other info just explaining/comparing different lockers.

Mostly because I need one on my truck.

There is no "best" locker. They all have pros and cons. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to prove it is or isn't.

Someone could say that ARBs are "best". But they're very expensive to buy (~$700), expensive to install, and you need an air source. So, a priority on your selection may be the cost, so the ARB is not the "best" for you.

The Aussie has been around long enough that it's proven, but nothing is bulletproof. Buy one, put it in, wheel it. If you break it, well it wasn't that expensive and the install was pretty easy.

I still think the best built locker out there is a Detroit. But they're a full-time locker and expensive, so the selectables and lunch box lockers tend to be better sellers among the Cruiser crowd.

On a mild truck lunch box lockers work well. However I've broken a couple of center pins with them and I feel that is there biggest weakness.
If you are reasonable with tire size and throttle use they will survive but not with me driving.
I haven't ever owned a detroit but am not convinced they are worth the money because if you break anything else in the drive line they have a tendency to explode from the shock loads making one failure into to two broken pieces and one expensive locker that is now a paper weight.

I would go with the quicklock or lockright, they are usualy the cheepest, and work well. Your not running huge tires, but youll have to be careful with the right foot. I also wouldnt bother locking the front untill you sas that beast.

With that much Tbar crankage and lift youll totaly bind something up and it wont be pretty replacing a CV shaft on the side of the trail. Ask me how I know :D

How do you know?

I'm not going all the way out there..... Cripes I'd have to pack a bag.
