Sorry for being flippant. You are trying to help and I maybe took it wrong. Thanks
Not a problem, believe me I have been in similar situations. No offense taken. BTW all I could find re: physical key was what someone has already posted. But there has to be a way. Ping Slee or Cruiseroutfit or Erik Sargent direct?

Yeah, there has got to be a way. I guess the hood isn't open by chance so that you could disconnect and reconnect the battery cables and maybe that will reset something?

It would be a miracle.
Come on Dan, a miracle? Thats a stretch, don't you think? Its only 3 windows and a passenger seat fan and now I guess door locks that aren't working.

I had fog lights coming on by themselves and wouldn't turn off after a hard rain on my '13 and I dried that out and haven't had a problem since. Also had an electrical issue on my 08 caused by water, cant remember what, but I pulled panels and dried it out with a hair dryer and didn't have any problems after that either. I actually remember seeing water dripping off the fuse block on one of them.

I think its just a matter of getting it opened up, pulling the battery cables to cut power to prevent anything else from going haywire, and getting as much air flow through there as possible for a while.

After all, it IS a Land Cruiser and not a Lucas Land Rover!

If the one window is working, you could try rolling it down with the key fob by holding down the unlock button.

This would at least enable you to open doors? I agree on pulling battery cables till things dry out a bit, couldn't hurt. Positive thing you were able to get it home.

Not after 37 years in the car business. I wouldn't mind being wrong in this case however. :worms:

Am i the only one that is puzzled that the physical key does not unlock the door?? Unless, the mechanical pulley or whatever it is inside the door is busted coincidentally??

I just tested the mechanical key in the Museum's 2013 200, with the battery disconnected. The key will mechanically unlock the door but it takes a fair amount of effort to get it to trip. The key must be turned clockwise (toward the rear of the vehicle). There is a constant effort for about 1/4 turn in either direction from center. You must go past that point when turning clockwise to unlock the door. The door will not lock with the key unless there is power. It will only lock with the inside manual lever.

Holy moly... so sorry for your situation man. On multiple occasions my kiddos have tried to convince me to do a river crossing. My response is always the same:

"Unless we're running from the police, an exploding volcano or a zombie apocalypse there is no way in hell your dad is driving his $80k Land Cruiser through a river."

I know many guys successfully complete river crossings...my hats off to each and every one of you who do. But as for me and my cruiser-

We'll take the bridge.

I guess you can’t roll down the windows with the fob? If you get the doors open I would suspect the electrical “blocks” behind the kick panels like was suggested earlier, they are often problematic when the roof drains clog. I took mine to a generic auto electric shop, it’s surprising what they know.

Yeah, my experience is that it takes quite a bit of effort to turn the key far enough to engage the lock. Far more than one might expect. Maybe you are just not turning it far enough.

With mine (2013 LX), I can tell that it is not triggering an actuator. I can feel it turn and it is quite stiff.

Thank you for the positive note. Much appreciated. The locksmith had it open in 2 minutes. It started so I moved it into garage, parked it, disconnected battery cables and proceeded to pull apart Trim pieces to lift carpet and block it away from the floor boards to get more air flow. In doing so I came across a mess of aftermarket cabling for seat massage, gps locator (mex version doesn’t come with it stock), side and back up cameras (also aftermarket; junk). All poorly spliced in to who knows what at the door sills so who knows what shorts that was causing. All cleaned up now with waterproof sleeves over splice points.

Can anyone give me a link show me how to pull my dash? I am in this far, may as well get the rest of the aftermarket wire out.
And can anyone tell me what this is in picture. It’s a Belden 8216 RG wire. Mystery to me. More aftermarket?

I often do stupid s*** for a good fish on fly!

Meant to say, I often do stupid s*** for a good fish on the fly! This was one of them.

Don't beat yourself up. People have done far worse for far less. Hopefully it will dry out and be ok.

Really take care to ensure that there is no moisture trapped between the soundproofing and the floorpan. I think the suggestion to run a DE-humidifier inside the cab overnight is a good one.

Those inflatable cushions and an aluminum rod through the opening. Flipped the lock. Done in 2 minutes. $30.00 house call. I tried the key every which way. It would not open the door. I will pop the panel and see if there is something broken. That can’t stay that way.
