checked around the forum, couldn't seem to find any part numbers for transfer case seals. lj78 with 4 spd auto. any help would be appreciated. Front transfer case seal is leaking, and while im at it , what tranny and transfer case do i have. i'm a little confused here. Also will a 5 spd manual and transfer case out of a older 4 runner fit, will i have to change drive shafts etc,etc.:cheers:

if the front seal is leaking then i would check the internals for damage as well ...
of course if the seal went because of swamp grass getting caught around the shaft then that is understandable.
John at Radd Cruisers will have what you need as well.

Ahhh yes there are two possibilities for front seals .... Output shaft seal for front drive flange...36134A

my computer (MAC) won't open the manual link above. the seal i need is the one on the front of the t case, right where the front drive shaft comes out. there is just one drip down the front of the case. no drips on the ground. i don't think it s to serious. is this the 90311-48009 SEAL, OIL (for output shaft bearing front retainer) thanks for your help

sheesh, no worries at this point. when it starts leaving toonie size drips everywhere then worry about it...
