LJ78 | 2LTE | Brake Master Cylinder

I have a quick question regarding a Brake Master Cylinder for an LJ78.

The original part code is 47201-60430. This part is out of production.

I have found the following part but not sure if it will fit the LJ78?

Brake Master Cylinder suitable for Landcruiser HZJ VDJ 76 78 79 Series Aftermark

Quality new aftermarket Brake Master Cylinder Landcruiser 78 Series 79 Series Ute/Troopy 2000 to 07 47201-60832A

That one won't fit, the original Prado master cylinder has a 4-bolt flange, that one has a 2-bolt flange. You might be able to find a rebuild kit if yours isn't too far gone.

Thank you. The main issue is with the reservoir. Cracks are forming all over it and just being cautious. The rebuild kit I can find, but not the plastic container. May need to shop around for separate parts.

If you are looking for the rebuild kit minus the reservoir or piping, the part number is 04493-60230.

Other options include wrecking yards or places selling Toyota spares.

There are a few posts with regards to cross parts regarding the master cylinder. I ended up keeping mine as is and only replaced the brake booster.
