You may want to leave the boards on. I took mine off and put a nice dent below the drivers door, wish like hell now I would have left the boards on and just bent those. And if you do bend the boards I always have a set to sell you :D

They were already gone when I purchased it. I will work on sliders next but I don't really like the running boards. I had a really bad experience with a set on a Ford Expedition. My brother in law had just bought his truck and he wanted it to look nice so he used lots of Armor All--on the running boards. :whoops: Fortunately for me I was able to hang on to my 5 week old son as I slipped. My brother in law doesn't sleep very well at my house because he is afraid I am still mad enough to hurt him in his sleep!!! ;p

Bear...do you still have the hitch on or is it gone with the spare...just wondering as I have the same OME medium setup waiting to be installed and do not want a bad stink bug stance...I dont have a spare or hitch and am going to have an ARB non-winch... yours looks about level....I think I should have ordered the heavy fronts..

The OME 851/860 that Bear has installed w/ the spacer is the Medium setup - I wouldn't recomend the HD 850s w/o a bull bar. If you want the truck to sit level you're going to have to use some type of spacer ... or go heavier on the front like you said.

nope no hitch on, but it's not heavy enough IMO to set the rear down. I have a pental hook on the way. I have noticed that with a friends 80 on a full tank, hitch on, spare on his sets the same in the rear as mine with no hitch/spare.

Hey Tucker74...little more info? Please

What other type of susp. mods did you have to do? Caster correction? Hows the handling? And where did you get the spacers? I am running 2.5" 850s now w/arb bumper Warn 9k winch and a con-ferr roof rack for rear weight and I still have the stink bug stance.

I just did the OME caster bushings w/ the extra 1" Mr. Gasket spacers - can't remember where I bought them now ... just be sure to get the ones that are only grooved on one side. Other than that pretty much the same setup as you ... it actually rides better than w/ the worn out OEM springs. Sorry I can't be more help -

Uh oh, did I foul? The 1" spacers I picked up had both sides groved, is this a problem? So far they seem to seat and should stay in place.
The one sided gaskets sit flat against the bump stop base and have a goove for the top of the spring. I guess the two sided should be ok ... prolly just flex more with the viod the other groove creates. Might not be giving you a true inch either -
