Lincoln Welder w/Onan engine

Hi Guys newbie here, Got an old Lincoln with Onan gas engine and was wondering if any body knew its value. Engine runs but smoke so it needs rebuilding, but is it worthwhile or better a boat anchor. Had it running several years ago but am worried that the cost is not worth the effort. Would sooner trade it for something else if its got any value.

Best to research the engine - google it's model number and find out if there are any issues . Some of those Onans are not easily rebuilt , nor worth the effort .

It could be a Lincoln Ranger series. They came in a number of versions over the years.
I have seen them go for anywhere from $500 to $1000 for an older model. New ones are about $4000.
