Quick video with 30” light bar mounted in the grille. Heritage grill swap for fitment.

Slick looking fitment. Great job.

Wonder what the lighting looks like at night, looking at the face of the car.

I think that I heard this in the video, but did you cut a section of the grill to get the lights to sit back that far?

Yep, Heritage grills make light bar modification easy. A few more pics before bumper install

Looks great, thanks for the detailed pics! I will be doing the same to my HE in the near future.

If you’re not looking to do a chrome delete (or painting of the grille), you may run into some issues scarring the black-chrome where you Dremel’d the cut out. Knowing that you may have to do minor fill-in, it will be hard to match the black chrome with any kind of paint. You may be left with a slightly flawed grille or looking for a skilled hydro dipper.

Yeah, that's why I haven't pulled the trigger on cutting the grill yet. Still mulling over what I want to do from an appearance perspective. Probably make the cuts with my pneumatic body saw, it tends to cut more and melt less than a Dremel with a cut off wheel.

So Moby,
did you ever pull the trigger on installing a light bar in the grill? I love the idea and I’m curious as to how it went for a non-pro.

No, I fabricated mounts that attach to the crash bar and extend through the grill and hold Baja Designs LP9s. Not as stealthy as this, but I got to bust out out the TIG welder and knock some of the rust off my skills, so that made me happy :)

I’m planning on doing this, might use a BD light bar because these rigid adapt bars are pretty expensive. HE grill incoming…

Here are a few pics on a Rigid single-row Midnight Edition in a Heritage grille.

Do you think there is enough room for the 30” double row curved midnight edition?

Probably depends on the model. If it's 2.5-2.6 inches high, I think you're fine.

To all reading this post - Please don’t be that guy driving (douche bucket) with light bars blaring because you just can’t get to work without 20,000 lumens bolted to the front of your car.
