I am going to need new tires soon, and I am considering the toyos open country A/T in this size:

P265/70R18 114S * 301520 7.0-8.0-9.0 32.6 10.7 13 44.1

mostly because they are relatively skinny, weigh 44lbs vs stock 41lbs, and should be 3/4 of an inch taller. Curently I have terra grapplers in 285/60/18, they have been good tires, I wish they would list the weight on there site though.
I would be interested to hear anyones thoughts on the toyos or other light weight all terrain tires.
Personally I prefer the looks of the BFG a/t or the Goodyear
duratracs, but they only come as heavy E rated tires, with gas going up it doesnt make sense to me.

Yokohama Geolanders AT-S. They are perfect for the Landcruiser. Perfect match of on road and off road performance. They take 50psi and the tread looks awesome! And the price is outstanding.

Cooper AT's are pretty light weight and pretty decent tires. I had them on my Land Cruiser for about a year and a half and my dad has had them both of his Z71's that he's had for the past 8 years and they've never let me down and preform pretty well.

FWIW, I went from stock 275/70 Michelins to E-rated 285/75 Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2 ATs and did not see a mileage decrease at all...

I think the less revs per mile with the taller tire probably offset the heavier nature of it...

Sean - I have used the Toyo ATs and they were a good tire. Depending on your use they may serve you very well.

I have the Revo 2's as well (on 18" wheels 275 width and one notch higher than stock on the aspect ratio (I forget if I went from 60 to 65 or from 65 to 70)). I'm very happy with them.

Note that they make a heavy and a lighter version.

thanks guys great info, I guess it turns out the nittos are light weight, maybe I'll go to the 32.6
