i am thinking of getting a lift kit for the 60. i am wanting to go to 2.5-3in. lift. what is a decent company and also price is important as well. thanks jason

Might want to look into some Alcans if your thinking thats all the lifting you will ever be doing. You will ba able to customize them to whatever other mods you have or may make such as a custom bumper which would ad weight up front. Otherwise you can just look for lifts from the usual sites all in the vendors section.

alcans are great..thats what I have but be prepared to piece together your lift...its not an off the shelf lift as in it comes with everything needed.

Also, whats the deal on the parts 60 I never heard anything?

spring over

yea, i was thinking spring over but how hard is it and dont you have to weld??? the only reason to do a lift kit was that i could do it myself, thanks

check out:
man-a-fre.com
coolcruisers.com
TPI4x4.com
urbanlandcruisers.com
cruisersolutions.com

all have varying kits in the lift range you want............

your cheapest route would probaly be going with Dakar springs and I believe Urban Landcruisers located in atlanta sells them

Yes there is welding required for an SOA it'll cost you more then a kit in the end too. It'll look way cooler though.

no need to go SOA unless you are intending to do serious offroading; however contrary to clemson55 statement, most SOA can be done for less money that a complete 60 series lift kit, especially if you do all the labor youself............... With that said though go with a kit from one of those vendors above it will be easier and most likely suit your purposes better.

good luck

Actually I'm gonna disagree back. If he does it right and rebuilds the axle and gets a highsteer arm and good brake lines and perches new ubolts and all the other stuff little stuff it will cost just as much as a kit depending which one he gets. Just think much have you already spent springing yours over and you know there is other stuff you should do to it and things you could have done better.
