This is the comment I find the most confusing.....I have been looking at 75 series ( mostly HJ75's ) in Australia for months
(Australian Ebay and other sights) and I have found the issue to be "high mileage" not low mileage. Low mileage will be in the area of 200,000kms + and can average in the 400,000+ range.
I personally would love to have a HJ75 Trayback here in the States. ..............1978HJ45

Based on the numerous comments the FJ75 appears to be a 1990 model which makes one wonder how it was brought into the U.S.
It must have been hid in one of containers that brought the new Lexus's into the port.

rough, well s*** batman, it is a worktruck.
beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, i think a FJLoser is ugly.
gas milage? a 3F was never noted for decent fuel mileage BUT mine will return 18.2 mpg at 80 k/h which isn't bad for a carb'd 6 cyl manual.
but, with all the old 40s gassers running around still today, reliability is it's strong point.

well, i kinda have to agree with Swampboy on this one. 99% of NORTH Americans are not worthy. only about 1% of the buying public gives a s*** about what is under the veneer paint job and plastic doohinkies ...
OK I am calm now.....your premise and that of swamprunners would therefore apply to 99% of the globe ( not just North America) The vast majority purchase vehicles as a means to get from point A to B ( nothing more nothing less). The 1% would be the guys (and gals) who are driving Italian "supercars" and other exotics I guess.

I don't have a chip on my shoulder...maybe I've just seen more in day than most. Spend some time in a 3rd world country where these trucks are acutally used like they were intended where some really bad situations (think life or death) arise if you don't have a very capable vehicle and you'll see what I mean. That would shut the guys up that were commenting on how uselees and ugly the truck was. But that would mean the would have to give up their on star, satelitte radio back up cameras, and seats that wipe their ass for them.
Its not saying I have a problem with 99% of Americans...I'm just say they don't deserve a vehicle like this b/c they don't appreciate it.

I wold like to think I am a good guy and I do enjoy my HJ45 pickup. I do however get tired of hearing the following comments:

I take it with a grain of salt and remind myself that not everyone can be at the top of the gene pool.
My favorite comment is when people walk up and notice the RHD and then ask in a whisper "is that legal" and I assure them that it is not but I plan on taking only back roads to the house and with luck I can make it. Sometimes it's easy to see why some animals eat their young

My FJ 75
Kinda looks like mine. Actually it came from the same place. His looks like one of the Agriculture Department ones. They were a little ruff. The paint and body saw some harder use.
