Sorry for dropping the ball on this. Life hit.

I am almost caught up and will definitely get you those codes. I haven't forgotten

We’ve been getting by in our ‘15 with the factory setup(my 2 year old does have trouble keeping the headphones on). I do have a handful of adapters that increase the variety of things we can play. The best investment was this:

I ripped all our kid’s dvds to a SD card and leave it in the car, instead of bringing dvds anywhere. Also, it automatically starts playing the next file/movie, so the kids generally get into the next movie as soon as it starts.

I also have a lightning-to-hdmi adapter and hdmi-to-rca adapter for playing things off of a phone or iPad, including shows downloaded from Netflix/Prime
I am about to buy an LX570 and am curious where this SD card of movies goes? I would like to do something similar for my youngster as well.

The player I purchased on Amazon(linked in my post) takes SD cards or usb flash drives, and it plugs into the aux ports at the rear of the front seat center console.

Hi Pound. Are you still providing the codes? I have the 09-11 remote. My kid lost the remote and in need of a solution.

Thanks

I can totally do it now... And my kids have lost the remote!?!?! I will look around this weekend and see if I can find it.

I have 14 and don’t have the remote as well.
When I brought the LX, it didn’t even come with one :(
Stupid question of the day, but have you checked the rear armrest storage? There’s a little holder back there, and I know people that found remote there after several years of ownership.

Very smart suggestion… unfortunately, that was first thing I did and absolutely zero content inside… no remote & no headphones:(

I definitely spent an hour looking online for replacement remotes after realizing there was no way to operate the system without it, then I went and checked my rear console and there was a remote and one set of headphones.

Is the code scanner thing cheap? I'd be willing to grab codes from mine. If the below works, that's probably cheaper/safer/easier than shipping my remote twice.

Is this and some freeware all you need?

Any updates? I have a Harmony remote and wondering if you could upload the codes that way.

I’ve looked everywhere in my Lc200. 😭

Wondering if anyone here has found a good use-case for the dated rear seat entertainment on a 2009-2011 LX 570? I'm on the hunt for one at the moment and most of them I come across have the roof-mounted DVD player. I was thinking it might be useful for watching movies/shows when car camping (RCA-HDMI adapter + Roku/Fire Stick) but the low resolution and small screen would make the viewing experience less than ideal.

Hey all. I have a 2013 LX 570 and have the remote. Not sure how to get codes from it, but happy to help if someone will let me know what they need. I also have the Lexus headsets but the cups have disintegrated. My problem is my passenger side screen is cracked. It looks like replacement screens are going in pairs on eBay right now for $1000. I'm running the Hamilton CarPlay kit on the front and don't want to mess with DVD etc. Plus it looks like these things are 480p and are DVD/RCA centric. So I'm going to try dedicated iPads plus a hotspot (or Starlink?).

I just had a set of Victory4x4 deletes delivered. I'm going to experiment with bolting some Amazon iPad mounts to them. I'm still figuring out what to do for the third row - I've got three kids. Any suggestions? Cup holder mount?

This is definitely doable, whether that screen is preferable to an iPad would be up to you.

Yeah it would just be nice to at least get some use out of it. The screen is probably too small and low resolution to be viable though. And I'd have to run the battery to power the DVD player too.

Yeah, when I first picked up my LX, I bought all the stuff to do it and tested it and it works fine. But in the end, I’ve never once used it “in the field”.

How's the resolution/display and the audio when using a streaming device?
