Im in where do I pick it up

Send me the cash and I will hook you up. Hell my first "bowtiestang" was $300.. sold the 4 cyl for $200.. Free Chevy 350 eng and a $40 transmission $100 ebay converter, $40 used slicks, $75 nitrous kit ran 11.50@ 118 for over 100 runs until the "real" engine went in.

I am the king of cheap fast lol. I bet you could get a $1000 Honda Civic to go 0-60 in 3.6....would even put money on it :)

My old DD 99 Mustang with a POS 4.6L and just Nitto DR and 4.30 gears did 0-60 in 4.8 if I remember right?? With just 260 HP lol
That car would pull the left front tire off the ground and only run 13.8@102 lol I bet in real life Phx AZ temps and alt the LFA wont do 0-60 in 3.6!

Of course 0-60 times are the only thing that matter in a vehicle. The rest of the $400k is all leather and polished titanium shifter knobs.

Not going to jump into the 'this car is faster than that car' fun this time, that's a never ending subject but we are guys so what's the fun if we don't. Thanks to Eric for sharing. Most of us won't ever get the chance to rock a car like that. Sounds like it was a blast. I've had the pleasure of driving a friends 2012 GTR twice. Amazing experience and thrill. At least our 80's share AWD with the super cars!

So can a Corolla and for a lot less!
I can get a $1000 Mustang to do 0-60 in 3.6..

I am going to concede a couple of your points.
1) Corolla's are reliable
2) There are a lot of s***ty fast cars out there

;)

Dont be a hater becuase you drive an 80 that go's 0-60 in 52.2 seconds and 60 to 0 in 1100 feet:moon:

s***ty fast cars are the best...I can spank you in a race then in the parking lot ding the crap out of you door with mine and not care....win-win:poof:

Made me think of the Joe Dirt "Hemi":hillbilly:

A guy at work has a very modified newer Corvette that on paper should beat the LFA. Problem is that he cant hook up for traction. FIrst is a spin fest.

The Corvette is probably one of the best bang for the buck out-of-the-box performance cars out there.

Boy needs two things... good tires, learn to drive:) You are right the vette is the best bang for the buck. Guy down here in Tucson took a stock 97 LS1 Vette put on two t04 turbos the damn thing put down 1000+ rwhp and at the track he would roll past the start beam let the clock run for a few and hammer it... ran like a 14.50@156mph lol. With that MPH had to be a a 9 second car, and would handle and stop with all these "super cars".
I will try to find some video of it. Engine stayed together but the clutch popped many a time:steer:

When I was drag racing alot I notice 80% of drivers cant drive a manual.

The problem w/corvette's is...well, you have to grow a mustache, be over 50, regularly wear a starched shirt with aviator sunglasses. On the plus side, workout gloves often double as driving gloves.

Hahahaha, that is clearly winning when you live in Tucson:hillbilly: :flipoff2:

All for fun. I went to U of A and lived in Tucson for 12 years.

found this over the weekend, worth the watch >

I love it! Blah blah "it's too expensive" a supercar is SUPPOSED to be expensive! It's a SUPERCAR! Next the $$$ complainers will say a Veyron Super Sport is too much, too. Whatever. I love supercars... won't ever own one, but that's OK, just knowing they're out there makes me smile. As for price, remember the Countach? The rear wing, which was "optional" ;) cost as much as an ENTIRE Yugo. Hence the nickname, "Yugo wing".

Oh and Eric, don't worry I'm sure LVT never watches youtube...

Angle of Approach/Departure degrees 7.2/11.6 -- not going to make over most stocker friendly roads we travel on ...

But the current generation GTR should - if the launch is set - blast by the LFA... both 0-60 and full qtr. The video above does a disservice to the standard GTR - which turns 11.4 qtr times, not 11.8 times suggested in the video. And teh track model is now under 3 seconds 0-60; and nearing the sub 11 second qtr...

That said, the LFA looks like a really nice addition to the pack; but since one can buy about 4 GTR's for the price of one LFA... I know which one will be in my garage first.

:bounce:

pps: My simple 5 second 350z was a lot of fun to drive - especially when I got it into Montana for a few minutes. Though I never reached reported top speeds, it got going fast enough before I was usually ready for it. Best part was the car was stuck to the road like warm bubble gum... corners just didn't exist. And to think how much better the GTR and LFA are... I was minutes from buying a GTR ... then common sense kicked in. The lure of a 3 second 0-60 with a 65 mph speed limit just added up to a lot of time explaining things to a judge. So I kept the Z around...
