Cheap if you think about it...

Yes, I AM cheap, especially if I think about it. :flipoff2:

However, with 13 interior doors for the house in the garage, and about a mile of baseboard and trim to install and paint.....

Time is more precious than money, so I'll have to run it past the war dept. And then think about it some more.

How much if I bring you the seats without the truck surrounding them?

Damn, I AM cheap.

Thanks.

Nice leather and install....but screw that....I want the truck...!! If it ever goes up for sale let me know..!!! :)

Same price. You know how hard it it to transport seats in new leather. That is like asking your dog to go fetch your dress shoes. Trust me it saves you time and me to have the whole truck.

I just did the interior door thing. :princess: dad is a VP and Jeld-Wen so that was a big help. I had fun tearing out 5 year old doors and burning interior trim for a week strait in the fire pit. Do your doors first and let me know.

A++++ job. That is incredibly good looking and better than brand new. I'm just hoping you will be making these in the future when I can afford a set.

BTW, the lockers are just icing on the cake. That thing is too pristine to take offroad. I don't think I could even eat or drink in it.

Next time I'll go with your kit, I love it. Hopefully I'll have another 80 soon and I'm sure it will need some new skin.

They are officially on my list. I first have to find out whether I have a HG issue or not. :bang: Your wallet should wish me luck. I would much rather do a re-leather job than a HG job.
They look great, and so does the truck.

Mechanical is always priority.

OK, still no pics. I'm winging this install since there aren't any instructions and no pics on mud.

RTH: where do i get the hog rings? I thought the install kit came with hong rings but it doesn't , just the pliers and a razor.

I know Shane will chime in and I am not an upholsterer, but I reinstalled my cloth covers with zip ties in place of hog rings after machine washing them. Very easy.

zip ties.. hmmm really?! I have noticed that the leather that was originally on the seat had a little metal rod that rand down some of the interior trim pieces, and that is what you would clamp the hog ring around. Shane's kit doesn't seem to have a channel to slide the metal piece in, just a plastic strip, so i'm assuming that is strong enough to hold the clips or zip ties in place and not rip?

Ok. I know exactly what you are saying. Yes, my seats used the metal rods that you described. I put the zip tie in the same spot that each hog ring was. Worked like a charm.

From what you are saying I guess ii place of the metal rod the kit uses a plastic flap that the hog ring pierces through when installed. Is that correct?

Well, i'm getting better at this! Zip ties worked great.

Now i need RTH... How do you get the bottom cushion off? Looks like there are little metal tabs around the front perimeter that i'm guessing i should bend back and release the leather? I will try to do some searching but everything i dug up didn't have any of the pics with it.
