hey guys, went out wheelin today... snowin like mad outside. perfect day to go wheelin:D

my buddy rolled his 86 SAS 4-runner.... his interior roll cage saved his ass:eek:

it was a essentially off road roll cage, came bent, we just welded it in place..

all his doors open and shut, the only thing thats not salvageable is the windshield:doh:

his roll cage got me lookin at my rotted roof'd 55... pretty sad really, but i NEED a cage... even the girlfriend that gave me the cruiser ultimatum said i needed a cage:) pretty funny stuf....

"you know that could have been us down there" she said....

"ha ha ya, thats why i always say i need a cage"...

"how much do they cost?? want one for christmas"??????

pretty funny stuff...

i dont have a bender, but i have a welder and a shop..

basically i have everything but the bender, anyone make a good weld in cage kit?? i couldn't find any on the internet, all i found was mark from metaltek thought about making them...

anyone have any good interior shots of their cage?? i think i have a pretty good idea of what i want, now i gotta find the balance between functionality/room/tube....

lets see what ya got.

tuff find, but theres a couple folks i know that might help ya.

I have one of the bolt together SOr.com cages in a parts rig. with some welding after it was installed It would be fine... If you want it let me know.

Mark at Metaltech was thinking about trying to put something together for us but I dont know that he ever has. Other then that I have never found anything other than custom made or homemade for a pig. And since all I want my rig for is wheeling I have looked pretty hard. I am planning on just doing my own. Probably square corners instead of rounded with a lot of angled supports for strength. I dont have a bender either but a square corner can be just as strong as long as it is supported properly.

dont think they offer them anymore. they go over the rear seat and into the cargo area. a front cage would need to be fabbed
