I don't think I have seen a thread dedicated to just 44's or 46's. Let's see what you got. Here is a shot of mine. I am sure quite a few have seen it already but I have not seen too many others.

VERY nice.

What colour is the lettering on your "diesel badge" on your grille? (Red or Black?)

It's black. Of course it will be replaced real soon with on eof the metal one's.

The 46 is the same as a 44 except had a 3B and a 5 speed. I am sure there was more of a difference I just don't know what that is. It is the same with the BJ40, 41, 42. They all had different engines.

I guess BJ44V and I are the only ones with 44s
If I can get my hands on some more I will get a few more out here in North America to appreciate.
They are great Cruiser's

We have a 46 at the shop with Mog axles underneath it. When the body gets done soon, I'll get pictures of it, in the mean time you can have a peek at it in it's pre-resto stage.
The 46 came with an H41 & a split case, and of course a 3B with the bosch rotary pump. Currently with saginaw steering, turbo, air-ride suspension in the rear and a volvo intercooler.

Edit: Here's another 46 that was restored and sent to Eastern Canada in 2007.

One more 44!

I have a 1981 BJ44V also. I did a garrett turbo addition, and am planning a w/a intercooler install in about a month. Also, I am running a custom Alcan 4" inch front 4.5" rear lift. it sits a little high in the front because they built it with the expectation of installation of a winch. I am planning to begin a frame off expo resto (lots of rhino lining and powdercoating, plus some welded in storage compartments in the wheel wells) in a few months.

Oh, and the BJ46 has the full floater axles... Other than that, not too much different except for cosmetic stuff.

I would love to import one of those. Just need to get the wifes ok and read up on importation.

Has anyone here heard of/seen/read about any BJ44/6 Cruisers here in the land of Big Brother (Australia)? I'd love to get one before moving back to the Up Above, but I may have to get one in New Zealand.

Cheers,

Josh

That's real nice CRXJUICE. And the seat uphostery and steering wheel are real swish! :)
