Need help, maybe someone have similar issue. I having issue with my FJZ80 where the rear left turn signal flashing fast. Testing the voltage I find that it is only getting 8V instead of the 12V. I've done the following process to try to find the issue but no luck:

1. Jump the flasher relay (I wanted to see that I'm geting 12V when I turn the signal)
2. Check the Voltage at the Rear Left Bulb socket (8V)
3. Check the Voltage at the Rear Right Bulb socket (~12V)
4. Check the Voltage at the trailer socket T5/T6 Page 27 on wiring diagram. (Left Bulb 8V and Right Bulb 12V)

Things to check next time, when time permits:

Check Voltage at BQ1 page 34 on wiring diagram.

Just wondering if someone have similar issue and might be able to think what could cause it. Also, unless I"m wrong but it was working until I install a used direct plug trailer hitch. However, I disconnect the trailer hitch and test it but it is now having the same issue.

I will check it out but if it is a bad connection I should be getting no voltage instead, no?

No, it does not work like that, the connectors corrode and they can no longer carry the load so voltage falls away. Think about the amount of times you have heard a bad battery connection stopped an engine from cranking, the solenoid might click but the starter not spin.

Dave

No LED, only recent change is headlight conversion to 9011/9012.
Yeah some terminal corrosion probably. Could be some solid state component failure but lighting is not very complicated as far as circuitry goes
