LED interior lights

just wanted to ask if there was an exact "kit" you guys bought and from where? I know it's not difficult to piece it together but the kits are nice. Just not sure how accurate the kits are

I just got these cheap LED stick on strips from eBay and just stuck them right to the ceiling fabric and just wrap the wires around the bulb housing it was really easy took like five seconds

I went with an eBay kit and I've been really happy. Think it was around $30, came with door and license plate lights as well.

I kept going back and forth on whether to buy the Pfran or the eBay set pictured here. At less than half the price i went with the eBay one. I usually don’t skimp and want the best but seriously how different can LED lights be? I also found Philips and PIAA LEDs that are even more than the PFRAN. Any other takes on this? I will report on how these look. Said they’ll be here Monday.

I bought this set from Amazon and really like them. They are really easy to install and they look solid for only being $14. Haven't had any issue with them flickering or burning out, going on 4 months now.

So I dabbled in led products for a little bit, the think to know about LEDs are basically the light emiting parts are just little "computer chips" they make huge amounts of them and then test them the better ones get grouped together and put into expensive things the ones that dont have a good light output vs electrical input (meaning more heat output) are destined for cheap things. The things that wear out in LED systems are the drivers, resistors, all the parts that make the damn thing emit light. So when you buy a cheap LED system you are getting a lot of the bottom of the barrel parts. When you are buying mid grade you are getting a mix of cheep and good parts (dont go for fancy named diodes get cheap diodes and expensive drivers). When you buy high end stuff you get highend stuff (we all drive lexuses here we all know what I mean) but you pay for it.

As for inside the rig bulb replacements CHEAP OUT! like seriously if they are on for a long period of time that is not a good sign. Often the max amount of time one would be on is like 40min? Then it would be off again for like hours? (except the LP bulb and that is exposed, would probably buy a good one for that)

I got the kit from eBay today. It seems perfect. Every light gets replaced except the tiny footwell ones, ashtray and glove box but those are so small I don’t feel the need. So the map lights, the dome lights, the door lights, the running board lights, license plate lights, and even the vanity mirror lights. I didn’t do the vanity mirror ones because honestly they were too bright. Plus it includes three extra dome lights. If it craps out too quick I will report that too
