My head unit dims when the brakes or turn signals are applied. I have tried 2 different brand led brake light bulbs with the same result. Tried incandescent and they solved the dimming issue. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

It isn’t dimming as in flickering or loss of power it is dimming as if you turned the running lights on. CarPlay goes into dark mode tooI'm making a SWAG, ( Scientific Wild A$$ Guess) that the LED bulbs don't have the same resistance (significantly less than) the original bulbs. And, as the voltage is fixed, and Current = Voltage / Resistance
a great reduction of resistance would cause an equal (ratio wise) increase in current, hence stealing current away from the other circuits and dimming the lights.
......
Apparently I'm correct in my SWAG...

I am only able to comment on the physics of the matter. Best of luck.It isn’t dimming as in flickering or loss of power it is dimming as if you turned the running lights on. CarPlay goes into dark mode too
