2011 LC. I changed my halogens out for LEDs. The high beam bulb (9005) doubles as the DRL running on lower or modulated voltage. The DRL would not come on, however. I’m been reading that it’s because the voltage is too low to run the LED when DRL is on. Has anyone found a solution?

Yes - VLED brand LED’s have a low power drl option that works with a specific high beam bulb option from them.

Kinda expensive but it works

I just put the high beam halogen back in when I tried it as the compatible High beam LED was expensive. It was plenty bright. My issue was the low beam. I ran an LED for four years, but eventually became dissatisfied with it. Moved on to HID, which is a little better than LED was (the light is more penetrating/ further, at the expense of short range brightness). Still not ideal; both LED and HID were much better than the oem low beam.

For the HID I needed to buy extended caps to allow the LX to do headlight moving with the steering wheel.

Do you have a link for those VLED LEDs with the low power DRL option?

you can look up VLED on the webz and then punch in your vehicle application - they will show the results.
But shortcut is here for you - again, make sure to select your vehicle to make sure you the proper application for your rig.
