I have been working on some compact, waterproof, low draw LED lights over the past few months. These LED lights utilize 16W (4W per LED) LED's driven by a single driver. They provide a 5 degree spot light. Output is a little over 1,250 lumens and are rated at IP67. They are Cree LED's, full aluminum housing that is powder coated 35% gloss black. Compatible with 12V and 24V systems. Can be ran off your OEM fog light harness, or wired into another circuit. I have mine wired hot with an interrupter switch for the rear lights on the roof rack. For the fog lights I am running them directly off the OEM stalk/harness. Full length cooling fins. I have ran my test unit for 14 days straight with no failure, 7 days inside of a house that was 68*F and 7 days outside in 100*F+ temperatures on the driveway. Immediately after the 14 days I tossed it into a 8ft deep pool to test its thermal shock resistance. No issues. These lights have 9006 connectors (male pins) pre-installed (bare wire by request) and do not come with a wiring harness. I am currently working on designing one. The reflectors do not use a lens (TIR), they utilize a reflector design that captures 92% of the LED output, which is quite impressive considering Rigid uses TIR and only has a few more %'s on efficiency.

A few specs are:

Power Draw: 1.34 @ 12V, 0.67A@24V
Lens is a PMMW (polymethyl methacrylate)
Aluminum Housing
Dimensions:
75mm tall (body only, 87mm with mounting hardware)
80mm wide
82mm deep
Stainless Steel Harware

$125 a pair shipped lower 48, please PM me for payment information.

Have a great day,

Nick

These bolt directly into the 100 Series 03+ fog light inserts. I am not sure about other bumpers.

any chance of a "diffused" lens for back up or work light applications?

I am working on a diffused lens. Also a amber and red version. The flood version is a 60* beam, which would be ideal for reverse lights.

Alright. They have landed! I have 5 pairs on hand of the final design. Ready to ship out (Friday is my shipping days). Please PM if you would like to purchase a pair.

Nick,

Any chance of a beam shot on how the road pattern is from the drives seat?

Thanks,

Jason

So after about a minute of debate we finally agreed to stress test the housing and lens. 15 drops at various height (5-10ft) on lens, fins, and side. No ill effects. We decided to "finish" the night with a overhand pitch to the street, roughly 150ft. She landed square on the rear cooling fin and finally lost part of the rear fin, it was most likely 30+ feet in the air and moving around 50mph . Threw it as high as we could. Tomorrow starts another round of battery. This light has been ran for 14 days straight, and continues to run 2 hours a night. I am adding the additional stress of drop tests and quite hard impacts.

First picture is for Jason, this is the spot configuration. This is during the stress tests. I'll get better photos tomorrow night. I have family in this weekend.

Second and third are the housing.

Videos to come soon of testing I took some tonight, just no wifi to post a 5 minute video. We used the other 2X2 to light the driveway. So quite a few good beam shots, and abuse!

Impressive Nick :)

P.M. me...$125 for a pair right?

If anybody is on the fence I took some measurements and they will fit in a stock bumper on either side of the front license plate.

Also keep in mind a low beam halogen headlight offers 1,800 lumens...so each of these (2,000 lumen) pods are going to be more powerful than your stock headlights.

The cost is 1/3rd of competitive Rigid, or Baja Designs leds.

Thanks Nick for offering a great product at a competitive price.

I got these for my Wife's cruiser...will retain the factory fogs and use the positive from the fogs to activate a relay...then when you use your factory fogs every thing is integrated...your battery will supply the power.

Sent from my phon

All orders have shipped.

Jason,

I found that the fog lamp circuit on my 100 only provides 9.6V. I need to wire them using a relay like you are going to do. I just set up wifi, so I will be posting the stress testing videos shortly.

would i need to run a relay with these?
is it just the two wires cominf out the back of the housing?

Yep. Either that or a simple + with an interrupter switch, with a fuse (10A).

ok awesome thanks

Nick-
What is the mounted height of one of these?

Wanna pull the trigger on these but I really want to see a beam shot on the road first. Any chance of getting a couple of shots uploaded, Nick? Thanks for your hardwork in designing what appears to be a stand-out product.
