Is there any down side to leaving the battery disconnected for weeks or even months? Will I loose any settings or anything?

I think you'll lose your radio presets, seat presets, and need to relearn the auto up/down window limit function.

Why not use a battery tender?
I’m doing some work on it and will chip away at it only on weekends. I like to remove the negative cable when I work on stuff just so no the stupid happens. Keeping the battery charged isn’t an issue as I can use my tender as use suggest.

I guess I can just reattach the negative when I’m done for the weekend and take it off again when I start working on it the next weekend.

I had mine disconnected for a couple of weeks at one point, no issues. Woke right back up, no special calibrations required. I'm sure the seat memory settings were lost, but I never use them anyway.

Radio presets? Does this truck even have a radio? Huh, never tried it.
