So i got all charged up about synthetic gear oil and changed from 'dino' in the front and rear diffs. Now the front pinion seal (where the driveshaft attaches) leaks enough to notice spots on the driveway. Happened right after the change over. I'm told that this can happen with synth? Truck is a 91 with 144,000 kilometers. (oh- the oil is/was clean)

Synthetic oils typically have an ingredient to cause seals to swell. If you've just made the change and it's dripping, give it a chance for that to work. If it still leaks, then you may have to deal with the seal.
