I was away on vacation for 2 weeks, I noticed red fluid in very front near bumper. The actuall dripping was coming off the lines on DS near the drain plug. I never could visually pinpoint the leak. All areas as it enters the radiator look good. I checked the plug and it sheared off in my fingers w/o much force.
All in all its not leaking anymore, maybe a drip or two but not the puddle when it wasent driven for 2 weeks.
I did a complete flush about 3-4 months ago and the heater hose was replaced about 2 years ago.
Any ideas on removing the sheared of plug, thinking of using a tap to get it started. The plan is to screw the other plug in when I pull out the bad one all w/o swallowing too much Toyota red! Then topping off.

Thanks,
Chris

I've had success using Easy outs. Don't know how it would work on a plastic plug though. Might also try drilling a hole and ream it side-to-side to make a horizontal slot, them jab a screw driver in it.

In any case I would wait until your next annual flush, if it's not leaking presently. BTW, although apparently quite tasty, toxic if swallowed :D.

I just replaced my radiator the other day. It was leaking at the top, not down on the bottom by the drain plug. I saved the drain plug I believe. Do you want it, it is solid and did NOT leak. It is off a 91. If it would work for you Pm me.

Check closely to determine what is leaking. Sounds like tranny fluid to me.
