And in the aluminium housing it says D4R D4S 35W. My guess is that's the ballast.
That is HID.

Looks like they swapped a few connections and sockets. I haven't looked at a 200 headlight but that looks quite a bit more complicated than a standard halogen reflector with some bulbs in it.

Yes, you are correct. The halogen harness most likely will not provide enough power to ignite the ballast. You would have to use a relay harness that pulls from the battery and goes through the internal ballast, which Toyota generally will let you, but don't quote me on that. I'm not sure what the ballast connectors look like on the harness side.
