I got under the truck today and noticed the whole side of the motor on the drivers side under the exhaust manifold was very wet, what looked like very black oil, check the oil level and it was a little over the full mark. but it was crystal clear not black at all. Just wondering if anybody knows where the leak could be coming from? This is a 91fj by the way.

are you using coolant? try cleaning it up and see what comes back.

Mine seems to have the same leak. It doesn't appear to be loosing oil or coolant, but there is oil hanging off the exhaust mani and the bottom of the car has oil all over it. Kinda weird because I don't have any oil spots where I park the car

yuck. i'm assuming there is no sign of it above the manifold (e.g., from the valve cover)? I don't recall there being an access plate on that side like the dizzy on the other side. do you folks have rough idle and or fouled plug issues? i wonder if it could be blow by oil leaking out of the block/manifold seam?

as far as i can tell there is no sing of leaking oil comng from the valve cover, but its definetly leaking around the bottom of the exman. I have rough idle sometime but only when i first crank it over, after that it idles very well, I have not puled the plugs yet but that will be the next thing that i check.
