For almost a year ( im a broke college student don't judge me), my lovely 80 has been producing a seriously loud metallic rattle from the pas side. Sound like the exhaust maybe the cats or maybe heat shield? Usually does it around 900 and 1800 rpm. There is also definitely an exhaust leak because i can hear air coming out when im on the throttle. Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah and ive thrown a few o2 sensor codes over the past two years.

Odds are it's the heat shield by the RF tire where the exhaust elbows down. It usually rusts out there, then dangles on the pipe and bansgs around.
The exhaust leak is probably the wye section right above that where the two small pipes come into one.
I paid an exhaust shop $20 cash to weld it for me and it lasted for another 5 years until the muffler rotted out.
The factory exhaust is 309SS, so it "should" be welded with 309 or 310 SS wire, but 7018 wire will weld it, seal it, and hold for another 5 years.
Otherwise, it could be a heat shield above the cats banging around and the exhaust leak is where the cats bolt together and the flanges have burned away.
New exhaust can be had for reasonable costs through local FLAPS, or RockAuto and the likes. There is a post by me with part numbers and costs fro a while back when I did mine.
Some thread like Exhaust under $200 Borla something .......
have you got under there and moved it around? My heat shields had rusted out and making a slight noise that got worse, cut them off and fixed. Take a light and crawl around and move stuff around.
turns out the o2 sensor what being held on by half of a rusted out nut. Funny enough on the drive to homedepot it fell out and I had a fun time with LIMP mode. Fixed with a temporary hose clamp job.
